During Trump’s speech at Fort Bragg on June 10, 2025, he explicitly encouraged troops to boo political figures like Governor Gavin Newsom (as well as President Biden and the media). According to AFP, he “got troops to boo the names of California Governor Gavin Newsom and ex‑president Joe Biden”. The Agence France-Presse, the Arab News and the New Zealand Herald quickly picked up on the partisant nature of the United States Military.
Trump made these comments at a U.S. Army base, not during an outdoor campaign rally.
His speech was framed around the Army’s 250th anniversary, but it quickly shifted into overt political messaging—targeting Newsom, Biden, and the press.
FACT: So yes—it did happen on June 10, 2025, and was instigated by Trump himself.
