Protest scheduled for June 14, 2025, – If There’s Money for a Parade, there’s Money for Medicaid!
Protests are planned in Washington, D.C., on June 14, 2025, coinciding with both the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary parade and President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday. The primary demonstration, known as the “No Kings” rally, is organized by activists who view the parade as a political spectacle aimed at showcasing dominance. They accuse the president of mimicking authoritarian displays for personal glorification under the guise of celebrating national pride.
The “No Kings” movement has coordinated mass protests across the United States to counter the parade. While the parade is expected to draw large crowds, the protests aim to challenge what they perceive as undemocratic symbolism and promote democratic values.
In Washington, D.C., the protest is expected to draw as many as 200,000 people. The “No Kings” rally will march down 16th Street to within sight of the White House but isn’t expected to get close enough to the military parade to disrupt things.
