Thoughts and Creative Nuggets by Art Fettig that Change People’s Lives

I was strolling down memory lane the other day, which is where I do most of my pondering, and asked myself, “Art, since you just barely snuck out of high school with a diploma by the skin of your teeth and quite likely the help of many novenas made by your mom and sister, with no formal higher education, why did so many major corporations pay you nice fees to come in and make presentations?
And then I asked myself why in 2002 did the National Safety Council invite me to their National Safety Congress and present me with their Distinguished Service To Safety Award? They only presented ten such top awards that year. And why in the world did the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force all hire me to come in to make speeches? I only made it to the rank of Private First Class in my time in the Army.
On that stroll I asked myself other questions too. Since I retired in July of 1983, with 35 years’ service at that time, what am I doing still around 35 years later writing this newsletter?
Oh the questions people ask while they stroll down memory lane. I must take a different lane to stroll down tomorrow. Perhaps I will try the Yellow Brick Road.
