Daniel Brooks Baer is an American politician and former diplomat from Colorado. Baer served in the Obama administration’s State Department, first as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (2009-2013) and then as United States Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (2013-2017).
