Homeland Security – Enforcement Discretion
On January 20, 2025, I signed a memorandum entitled Exercising appropriate Discretion Under Parole Authority. That memorandum clarifies DHS’s position regarding the scope of the parole statute, 8 U.S.C. § 1182( d)(5), and directs a variety of actions to implement the memorandum.
