Try growing these versatile herbs that can be used in many common dishes.
- Chives – South sunny window or close fluorescent lights are best. Water only when the top of the soil is dry.
- Sage – Great for poultry dishes. Sages needs lots of sun.
- Basil – One of the easier herbs to grow indoors. pH needs to be around 6.0 to 7.5. Lots of natural light, but not necessarily full sunlight. May require repotting every few months.
- Rosemary – Must have lots of direct sunlight. Probably best for an outdoor patio. Only water when the top of the soil is dry. Needs air movement to prevent powdery mildew.
