How to Make the Most of Your Travels – by Dr. Ross Reck

I was watching an interesting travel program recently. At the end of the show, the host said, “If you want to get the most out of your travels, remember to keep an open mind and enjoy the scenery.” Traveling with an open mind means you travel with a sense of curiosity and discovery. When you do this, you’ll find magic and beauty every step of the way and your trip will be enjoyable as well as therapeutic. Traveling with a closed mind, on the other hand, means you are passing judgement on everything you see. This means there is no beauty or magic in the scenery and the trip is long and boring. As Mark Twain put it, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” This is true only if you travel with an open mind.
