Republican presidential dreamer Vivek Ramaswamy has stopped his campaign television advertising as the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary loom on the calendar. Ramaswamy, a boorish, overbearing, mile-a-minute loudmouth in the Republican presidential debates, says TV advertising is “for chumps.” Maybe so, but in the 2020 election, $8.5 Billion was spent on campaign advertising. Ramaswamy’s decision to leave the airwaves is a strong indication his campaign can no longer afford to be on television. An announcement that he is ending his presidential campaign may be next.
